Before & After Real Impact
These aren’t dramatic overnight transformations. They’re the quiet, profound changes
that happen when someone finally stops running from themselves.
Before
“I was a VP at 38, everyone thought I had it figured out. I was quietly having a panic attack every Sunday night before the work week.”
After
“How is it possible that this book could read as if it was written about my life story? At a time it was difficult to see myself so “exposed”, like nothing was hidden inside me anymore, but I kept choosing to finish the book. Wow! Wow! Wow! Jesus would be proud.”

Mary-Anne
Before
“I’d been in the same role for 7 years. I knew I needed to leave but I kept telling myself ‘not yet.’ Not yet became 5 years of not yet.”
After
“I did not think that I really needed it, because I don’t dwell on the past. But by reading the book, I learned that things I thought were part of my personality, were in fact survival strategies that became so much a part of me. It was not character flaws. I learned so much!”

Joanne
Before
“My whole identity was ‘engineer at Google.’ When I got passed over for promotion I genuinely didn’t know who I was without that story.”
After
“When my wife asked me to proof-read her manuscript, I did it with support in mind, not as counselling for myself. Some parts hit me deeply, revealing past hurts that I did not realise were important to me. Some parts were emotionally hard, but each chapter builds on the previous one, brings solutions and do not keep you in the place of pain. It would be a mistake to think this book is only for women. This book is for men too.”

Nicholas
Before
“I was making more money than I ever dreamed of and completely miserable. I was too ashamed to tell anyone — it felt ungrateful to be unhappy.”
After
“I gave myself permission to heal. Awesome! Insightful and deeply healing.”

What is Power Code Living?
Power
Power Code Living is a whole-person support and resource platform built around four areas of your life: Heart, Mind, Body, and Spirit. It brings practical tools, books, programmes and personal support together to help you navigate life, healing, identity, faith and personal growth.
What resources and programmes do you offer?
Po
Power Code Living offers books, guided programs, practical resources and individual support sessions across the four Power Code Living areas: Heart Strong, Mind Strong, Body Strong and Spirit Strong. These are designed to meet you where you are and provide practical steps for healing, personal growth, identity, purpose and faith reconstruction.
Why pay for Christian counselling?
Before I had my children, I worked full time and I used to spend my evenings and weekends counselling and discipling people.
Now that I have children, I don’t have the time to support other people and work fulltime as I used to. Paying for my services enable me to support my family financially while I do what I love to do, which is to help others on their healing journeys.
How do I access your books, guides and programmes?
You can explore the available books, resources and programmes through the website. Each resource includes information to help you decide whether it is right for you, along with instructions on how to access or purchase it.
Do you offer personal support or sessions?
Yes. Power Code Living offers individual sessions for people who would benefit from a more personal opportunities to talk through what they are experiencing. Sessions are grounded in Christian counselling and a whole-person approach, with the focus of meeting you where you are and helping you take your next steps toward the outcome that you desire.
What is Power Code Living’s AI Policy?
Today it is very hard to get away from AI or even advertise your work without using AI in some form or another, from Whatsapp avatars to creating meaningful images on Canva. Therefore I have decided to add my AI policy on the website, so that you know what to expect while you visit here or purchase some of the resources.
In an effort to keep Power Code Living resources as affordable and accessible as possible, I have chosen to keep my resources as digital products. I have edited them myself, making use of AI tools when I needed, for example, to correct sentence construction or to bring a bulk of information to fit into two or so paragraphs. Many inner healing concepts I work with can become a complex and long explanations on paper where one can easily explain it in conversation within minutes. I also use AI tools on occation when I do research on specific topics so that I can have access to as wide a variety of information as possible. Obviously, I use Canva to edit my images, or create new digital images or book covers for my purpose.
The profile photo I use on the website and books will stay the same, while you will often meet a different version of me in person or online. I like change, and I change my hairstyle often. I wear braids sometimes, as well as either long or short hair, and lots of headbands. I am not going to update my profile photo every time I change my hair.
If at any time, you doubt my authenticy and authorship in my writing or resources, or have questions about it, you can contact me directly and let me know at hello@powercodeliving.co.za. It is my desire that my work and material be presentable but foremost original, sincere and authentic for the people who use it.
Power Code Living is suitable for adults, young adults and teens.
What do you mean by Faith Reconstruction?
Faith reconstruction (google search) is “the intentional process of rebuilding, redefining or solidifying one’s spiritual beliefs and relationship with God after a period or questioning, doubt or tearing down inherited doctrines (known as faith deconstruction).”
In my view, faith reconstruction is like a house after it has been hit by a hurricane. Great damage has been done to the house; could have been water damage, aero dynamics of the storm, relentless pressure on the structures itself or walls and foundations that just could not maintain its resistance against outside force. After the storm passed, it is to decide what to do about it. Most people’s first insticts are to restore and rebuild as soon as possible, but others prefer to abandon it and start afresh someplace else.
Faith reconstruction can start when you have made the decision not to abandon your faith after a terrible storm, but rather investigate what is left of it and how to rebuild from there. In the rebuilding process, we remove the debris, open up the foundation and begin fixing the damage there first, before we move on to floor level, walls and roof restoration while reinforcing and strengthening the complete structure in order to better withstand future storms.
In the faith reconstruction blog I will share with you my own testimony of deconstructing and reconstructing my faith. It was a process of about 10 years, of which the last 2 years of it was actively starting the reconstruction process.
It is an incredibly sensitive and trust building process, which I don’t take lightly. If you choose to let me assist you with reconstructing your faith, you have my commitment to confidentiality, respect and dignity through it.
Is the adoption support only for adoptees?
No. If you were a child that aged out of the Child and Youth Care system or foster care, you are also welcome to join the conversations.
Take note that this is not a social services or adoption services platform. If you need assistance in regards to your official case, please contact the social services that were handling your case.
Is there a balance between dealing with childhood wounds and blaming parents?
Yes. When I am talking about childhood wounds, it does not necessarily mean blaming parents for abuse or neglect of their children. If you have experienced abuse or neglect as a child, I am sincerely sorry for the pain you went through and we will work through it appropriately. While working to resolve the pain in your life, we do not condone the behaviour of the person who caused you harm.
It is my experience that most parents love their children and take care of them to the best of their knowledge and abilities. Some things that happened was also out of their control. Since the internet age, we have had more access to information and resources than ever before. Much of the time, what we know now as firsthand knowledge and information, were not readily available before the 2000’s.
Two things that we should always keep in mind, is: 1. our humanity and 2. free will. We are humans living together in community, not each of us in isolation. Fortunatly, every one of us have a free will to choose and decide how we are going to live out our humanity in this world. Sometimes we have been hurt by circumstances out of our control, sometimes we have been hurt by the choices we have made. Sometimes we have been hurt by the choices and decisions of others without our permission or opportunity to prevent it. Whichever situation applies to you, will be handled appropriately with sensitivity and care.
Power Code Living is a self empowerment program that does not lean itself to blameshifting and denial. Every issue we approach will be handled with the utmost honesty, truth and care. We will not be able to erase memories, but we can remove the pain from it.
